Well written story with plenty of suspense and unanswered plot twists...until the end. The characters are well developed and judge St. Claire, the younger is sympathetic, but stubborn throughout the story. Only complaint is the level of intrusion in the phones and apparent control of other systems like the hospitals. I'm no expert, but some of that seemed over the top. Still, highly recommended read.
I am an avid fan of JC Ryan's books and series. I really enjoyed the storyline and the suspense and a bit of romance thrown in.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
The "Innocent Man in Prison" hook grabbed me. I wanted to know why he was framed and how he'd get exonerated. That's where the one star came from. Aside from that, I have nothing good to say about this book. The pace was slow, the few action-type scenes were short and lacking in excitement and the meeting scenes were downright excruciating to read. When the questions were finally answered, it was as if the author finally realized that the story had dragged on for far too long and decided to hurry and wrap things up. I will not read anything else from this author.
If you read one of j c ryans books you will never be disappointed! Always a thrilling ride and worth it.
I really love the characters in the book, they feel real to me. The only thing I didn't care for was that it was impossible to figure out the main bad guy as he had barely ever been mentioned until the last couple chapters.
I found this "Exonerated Series" very enjoyable. The pace is good with characters that are not always predictable. Main characters are in the story in a way that is often times surprising. I recommend and hope there might be more to come.
JCR has written s novel of a husband and wife who have the perfect marriage. They even have two children. Everything is great until the husband is framed for murder. The collected evidence points to the husband. The wife knows he is innocent and sets out to prove it. This is an excellent read for the genre..... ER
